My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Latte: Your Future Best Friend (With a Few Quirks!)

My adoption fee is partially sponsored so I am only $150 to my new home!

Hey there, potential hoomans! My name is Latte, and I’m a handsome, treat-loving pup looking for my forever home (or a cozy foster couch to crash on). I may take a little time to warm up, but once I do, I’m all in—loyal, loving, and ready to steal your heart (and maybe your snacks).

Why You’ll Love Me:
✔️ I’m getting braver around new people—just give me a little time!
✔️ My leash skills are so much better (no more zig-zagging like a caffeinated squirrel).
✔️ FOOD. I love it. Give me treats, and I’ll learn just about anything.
✔️ The shelter staff thinks I’m awesome, and I totally agree.
✔️ I get along great with other dogs and could even cohabitate with a dog-savvy cat (with supervision, of course).
✔️ I’ve had some housetraining experience—so fewer “oops” moments for you!
✔️ Playtime? YES. I’m all about it!

My Quirks (AKA "Character-Building Opportunities")
❌ I’m still learning that new places and people aren’t scary—patience is key!
❌ I’d do best in a home without young kids (too much unpredictable energy for me right now).

If you’re willing to help me grow into my best dog-self, please fill out a foster or adoption application! Bonus: You’ll get a FREE week of training with GoodPup, and if you’re fostering me, Dogs R Plus in Cameron offers up to three free training sessions.

Ready to be my hero? Let’s do this! 🐶💙

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Barron County is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving Barron County and surrounding areas.

Established in 1978 by a small but dedicated group of core volunteers, the HSBC started out with these volunteers taking animals into their own homes and advertising the need for forever homes for these animals. Over the years, since this humble beginning the HSBC has grown into the organization that it is today. From the homes of volunteers, relying on fundraising and the generous donations of our community, we have grown into and remain in our home on Guy Avenue in Barron.

HSBC is operated by a small staff and relies heavily on volunteers, as well as funds from donations, adoptions, memberships and fundraisers to keep our doors open for the animals needing our assistance.

We sincerely thank you for making this possible.
