If you`ve been feeling like you`re spending too much time staring at screens and not enough time living, Daisy might be exactly what you need.
She’s a 6-year-old dog who’s been homeless since December. She doesn’t care about your follower count, your inbox, or the algorithm. She just wants to go outside with you, feel the sun, chase a ball, and maybe sneak in a kiss when you least expect it.
Daisy loves people, lives for play, and already knows a few basic commands. She’s super treat-motivated, which means she’s easy to keep engaged — and you`ll probably find yourself smiling more than you have in a while. She needs to be the only pet, but honestly? She’s enough. She brings energy, joy, and that feeling of presence we all keep saying we want more of.
If you’re ready to trade a little scrolling for a little tail wagging, and you want to help a good dog finally land where she belongs — Daisy’s waiting.

Marion County Animal Services is the largest animal shelter in our county. Operating as a no-kill shelter, our kennels are almost always full. We provide adoption, fostering opportunities, work with rescues, accept volunteers and provide the training for veterinary assisting students. In addition, we run the Neuter Commuter and provide all animal control services in Marion County.
Due to the sheer volume of animals in our care, we need lots of help from our community in our effort to adopt out more and save more!
We don't only accept the ideal animals into our shelter. We can offer you quite the array of animal breeds and personalites! Keep an open mind when visiting our shelter- you may find that your perfect match is not at all what you set out to find.
We're here to help you as well as our homeless and lovable animals.
