Hi, my name is Rocky a young, vibrant, 3 legged Siberian husky. Let me tell you a bit about myself and maybe you will think I am absolutely the best dog ever! Unfortunately, I tried to play with the horses, and one of them got me. The break was so bad they had to amputate my front leg. When it comes to people, I love everyone and treat each as if they have earned my best friend status. Currently, I am in a home with other dogs. You can tell by my play that I am still young (1.5-2 years old). I play hard like a husky! My house manners are pretty good. My crate is a good place for me. You will find that I am happiest when I am with my special human as that is where I most desire to be. Outside in a secured fenced yard is a great place for me to show you my athletic abilities and run my zoomies. Leash walking is a favorite daily activity of mine. Sometimes I pull as if I am trying out for a team to run the Iditarod, so it is best to walk me with a special collar. A few basic commands that I know are sit, wait, and come. Of course I am excited to learn more, so I am going to training classes. They say I am a quick learner. My foster mom loves to talk about me, so if you are interested, I would love to hear from you.

The way the adoption works is you complete an application, which we review. If you have had previous pets (like a cat or other dogs) we do a vet check to ensure they are up to date on shots etc. Then the last step is a home visit to basically ensure there are no obvious dangers for the dog in the home. The fee is $100.

More about this rescue
Releashed Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes.
Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program. Our goal is to find the right family to love and care for the animals for their lifetime.
Releashed Rescue has a vision of a world where animals are not killed because they are inconvenient. Instead, we hope to educate the public about pet over-population, spay , neuter, humane treatment of animals and how animals can enrich the lives of people including the elderly, children and those with disabilities.
