My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sasha
Sasha is a one-year-old pointer mix. She is as sweet as they come. She found herself surrendered to our shelter through no fault of her own. Life circumstances.
Sasha is a happy dog. She’s adjusted well to shelter life and is grateful to have landed safely at our no-kill shelter. She is friendly, out-going, active yet calm, quiet, easy-going, and athletic. She has it all! Sasha loves people and gets along with everyone she meets. She also loves dogs. She loves to play, happily wagging her tail and engaging in play. Sasha would love another dog in the home, but it’s not necessary. We can test her with cats for potential adopters. Sasha travels well and loves car rides. She will make for a terrific hiking or running companion. She is easy to walk and well-mannered. Sasha is an absolute love and a gem. She has a gorgeous white and brown short-haired coat, with a pretty face. Her eyes are so expressive, begging you to notice her. She is medium size and is nearly full grown. Sasha is ready to find her forever home and will make for a wonderful companion.
If interested in Sasha, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org.
Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.
Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
