axter is a 2 - 3 year old, 67 lb, sweetheart. This beautiful boy loves people and wants to be in their laps at all times. If we had to make a guess on breed, we would say American Bulldog/Boxer mix. He gets along well with other dogs his size and smaller, but can be reactive to dogs that are larger than him. He should also be fed separately from other dogs.
He would make a great running or hiking partner. He has enjoyed going for walks and outings with volunteers and has no stranger danger. He is crate-trained and potty-trained. Baxter is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, dewormed, on flea prevention, and microchipped.

All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).
To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.
Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
