My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looks like: Chihuahua mix
Female, 5 years old (estimated), 9 pounds

Meet Izzy, a sweet and curious girl with a heart full of love! Though she can be a bit shy at first, with patience and time, Izzy quickly becomes a loyal and brave companion. She's the kind of dog who will stand by your side and support you through it all.

Izzy's list of favorite things is long and absolutely adorable. She loves burrowing into blankets, cuddling up inside your sweatshirt, and getting chest scratches. She's also a fan of 3-5 mile walks and, above all, food! For a meal, she'll leap with excitement, leaving all her pride behind for the joy of a tasty bite.

Izzy would thrive in a solo person and adult-only home where she can feel safe and secure. She's a gentle soul who can get overwhelmed around children, so a calm environment will help her shine. Izzy does well around other friendly dogs and could even do well in a home with a dog-savvy cat.

Izzy came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after being found as a stray.
