Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Petunia – the sweet, enthusiastic love bug you’ve been waiting for!
If you’re looking for a loyal couch companion who doubles as your personal cuddle heater, Petunia is your girl. Her foster says, “My favorite thing about her is that she is such a big cuddlebug. She has to be on top of me whenever I am sitting down.” Whether it’s snuggling in a blanket fort of pillows or dozing off in your lap, Petunia lives for cozy moments with her people.
But don’t let the nap queen vibes fool you—Petunia also has a zest for life! Her ideal day includes long walks, outdoor playtime (her version of fetch is adorable), sacred mealtimes, and tearing into fluffy toys and stuffed bones. She’s also treat-motivated and enjoys training sessions when snacks are involved.
Petunia is still learning the ropes when it comes to other animals. She currently lives with a dog and a cat in foster care. She and the resident dog co-exist but don’t exactly vibe—Petunia can be a little too enthusiastic and occasionally reactive if boundaries aren’t respected. With a more easygoing dog who isn’t overly bossy or herding-oriented, she could be a great match, especially with slow introductions.
As for cats, she’s curious and playful, but a bit too intense for a shy or stand-offish feline. With a dog-savvy cat and careful management, she may do okay over time. Like many young pups, she’s quick to chase squirrels and birds, so a secure yard or leashed walks are important.
Petunia is still young and learning, so an active household that can offer structure, exercise, and cuddle time would be her dream. She’s a lovable goofball with a heart of gold—ready to become someone’s best friend.
Think you could be Petunia’s forever person? Apply to meet her today and prepare for a whole lot of love (and a little pillow hogging).

More about this rescue
P3 is a united rescue effort to both save pitties and support veterans. At P3 we LOVE Pitties & we LOVE & RESPECT our Veterans! 2800 Pitties & Pittie Mixes are euthanized in overcrowded shelters every day, over 1 million every year. 22 Veterans commit suicide every day, over 8,030 per year. At P3 we find these numbers UNACCEPTABLE! P3 was created in March of 2024 with the goal of rescuing Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes from overcrowded shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia and providing the necessary training for them to provide emotional support, nightmare alerts, and pressure therapy during episodes of anxiety and stress so they can be paired with a Veteran struggling with PTSD reducing the risk of Veteran suicide. While we support our Veterans, our rescue is not limited to the placement of service dogs for Veterans only. Our Veterans program is only one aspect of what we do. We want to help EVERY pittie find the perfect furever family!
