My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Magnolia— A Sensitive, Loyal Soul

Magnolia, affectionately known as Mags, is a sensitive, loyal girl who has come a long way since first arriving at GAHS. She’s a brave, patient dog who raised eight puppies in the shelter before being ready for her own second chance. Though she’s been adopted twice, busy homes proved overwhelming for her comfort level. In the shelter, Mags has shown that she wants to connect deeply with people — she just needs time, space, and adopters who listen to her body language. She thrives in calm, predictable environments, communicates clearly when she’s uncomfortable, and enjoys exploring and learning at her own pace. Beneath her cautious exterior is a loving, affectionate dog who leans into trusted humans for companionship and trust-building moments.

Mags will do best in a calm, adult-only home where she can be the only pet. She is not interested in sharing her space with other dogs and is overly focused on cats and small animals. Her ideal family will offer structure, patience, and positive reinforcement-based training, celebrating her small steps of progress without forcing interactions. With ongoing behavioral support and consistent routines, Magnolia will continue to grow in confidence and become a deeply loyal companion for life. She’s ready for a home that understands her needs and is committed to helping her thrive.

Behavior and personality assessment is based on information provided by previous owner(s) and/or observations in a shelter environment and may not accurately reflect the pet`s behavior in your home.
