Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location Decatur, IL
Application at leiashope.org
Jesse is a fun and spunky little dude! This guy loves to be with people and can throw a real fit when he is in the pen. He does get over it after 15 min or so.
Jesse enjoys playing with the other small puppy in the home and the two of them run and chase each other all over the house. He likes toys, especially those bigger than him!
Jesse likes to get in other dogs food dishes when they are eating and he doesn't like to eat alone. This can be a bit of a challenge if you have dogs on different diets or a dog that doesn't like to share his bowl. He's not a picky eater but eats better with a little freeze dried food sprinkled on top.
Jesse is a healthy boy with good knees and a strong heart! Jesse does like to get under your feet and would not be suited for someone with mobility issues.
Jesse's adoption is $500. He is microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. He is not neutered due to his young age. We do not spay/neuter until at least 6 months of age. A neuter contract is required to adopt. Applications at leiashope.org.
NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES.
ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS.
WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
