Ash is an FIP survivor. FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no continued care required after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to feline coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation.
