My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remy is an adorable 68-pound golden mix with the sweetest personality and the cutest face to match! This lovable guy is as easygoing as they come—he’s all about lounging, getting belly rubs, and soaking up attention from his favorite people.

Remy is currently working on shedding a few pounds and will need a family committed to helping him on his weight-loss journey with a healthy diet and gentle exercise. But don’t worry—he’s more than happy to go on slow strolls and enjoy some playtime to get in shape!

With his gentle, affectionate nature, Remy would make the perfect best friend for anyone looking for a laid-back, loving companion. If you’re ready to give this golden sweetheart a home where he can thrive, come meet him at GCHS—he can’t wait to be your new snuggle buddy!

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
