My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello kind folks! My name is Sonia and I am a 10 year old 9 lb yorkie girl in search of my new home and forever family.

I was found wandering the streets of South Florida right before New Years Day and I can tell you I was very very scared. Thankfully the shelter director called FCCR for assistance and in a New York minute I was picked up and placed in a quiet foster home to decompress and enjoy the holidays in a peaceful and loving home.

Foster mommy says I am a very sweet, loving and quiet little girl. I love being around people and other dogs but no idea on cats...quite frankly as long as they are friendly I am sure I'd like them. They just need to be nice kitties since I am a SMALL little girl and I have zero aggression in me so if they were to pick a fight I wouldn't know what to do!!!!

Also, I am a little vision impaired but no worries...I can still see you and my surroundings, especially during the day!

If you are interested in makng me part of your family please submit an application to www.floridacockerrescue.org

More about this rescue

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.

FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
