HELLOOOOOOOO HELLOOOOOOOO! My name is Guiness and I am a gorgeous one-year old pup! I'm not sure about my weight, maybe 60 pounds, but I'm a tall, lean, muscular, and handsome guy! And I've got the bark to match!
As a hound dog, I was bred for work, so I am very energetic. I love to go on long walks, and I love to zoom around the backyard in the evenings. In between, I am very curious and like to know what you or the neighbors are doing. No, I am not nosey, I am just curious! What is going on?
I would do best with someone who leads an active lifestyle and has a big backyard for me to run around in and to catch frisbees. (I'm definitely too big for an apartment, and so is my bark!).
One of my favorite things to do is put my paws up on your shoulders and give you kisses because I am very affectionate. On the occasions when I'm not full of energy, I like to watch you cook or watch TV with you. I'm also an excellent nap companion!
I'm still working on my manners and don't really know my own size, so I'd be better with older kids. I'm also good with other dogs, but because I'm pretty big, they might be intimidated, even though I mean well! But when they aren’t intimidated by my size and energy, we have a blast!
My foster family says that I'm very smart and that I love to learn new tricks! I know "sit" and "shake", “down”, “drop it”, “ready” (to catch a frisbee or a ball) and I can guess in which hand you hid a treat!
I'm very attentive, so if you've got the patience to teach me, I can learn a lot more!
I am crate-trained and when I hear "crate," I run to my crate, but I would rather hang out with you and learn something new!
