Meet Baxter – A Resilient, Loving Companion!

Baxter’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but this incredible 2-year-old black pug has proven he’s a true fighter with a heart full of love! Found after being hit by a car, Baxter required emergency surgery to repair a hernia. While he made an amazing recovery, the accident left him with a slight neurological issue that causes him to occasionally lose use of his front left paw, resulting in a charming little limp. But don’t worry—Baxter doesn’t let it slow him down! He gets around just fine and embraces life with enthusiasm, proving that nothing can dim his bright spirit.

This affectionate little guy thrives on human companionship—he’s happiest when curled up next to you on the couch or snuggled in bed. He’s a pro at hopping onto furniture, always eager to be close to his favorite people. Baxter also enjoys the company of other dogs and seeks out playtime and companionship. He’s friendly with new people and has a sweet, gentle nature, making him a wonderful addition to any home.

While he can get excited on walks and may pull a little on the leash, his enthusiasm just shows how much he enjoys new adventures! He does have some mild resource-guarding tendencies, particularly around food or special items, so he’ll do best in a home that can provide structure and positive reinforcement to help him feel secure.
