My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milo, a dapper young Chihuahua mix who is celebrating his first birthday with a wish for a forever sofa! Formally known as "Beanbag" (a nod to his world-class cuddling skills), Milo actually started his life right here at the rescue. While he was briefly adopted, he’s back with us through no fault of his own; he just found the big, loud world a little overwhelming and is looking for a patient partner to help him navigate it. Milo is a "slow-burn" kind of guy who practices a bit of selective shyness with strangers sometimes causing him to act all “scary”, but don't let that fool you—his heart is massive. With a gentle approach and a tasty treat, his "stranger danger" melts away, revealing a dog who is absolutely obsessed with his favorite people. Once you’re in his inner circle, expect to be greeted with full-body "belly wiggles" and a celebratory leap into your arms! Being a young lad, he has a fun, higher energy level and loves to romp with other dogs or tackle his favorite toys, but he’s just as happy to transition into a world-class snuggle bug the moment the lights go down. This smart cookie already knows his basic commands, is fully potty trained, and sports the most identifies-as-a-supermodel features: a charming snaggletooth and a perfectly curly tail. Milo would thrive best in a calm, adult-only home where he can continue building his confidence at his own pace. If you have a little extra patience and a lot of love to give, Milo is ready to be your loyal, wiggly sidekick for life.
