Frannie is a young cattle dog mix with a big heart and classic puppy energy. She’s affectionate, playful, and loves being around people and other dogs. Frannie does best with plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and lots of durable chew toys to keep her busy and happy.
She’s still working on her basic manners and will need continued training, especially with leash skills. Frannie can be a little anxious and may take some time to settle into a new home, so a patient adopter who understands the importance of decompression time will help her thrive. Because she can be vocal, a home without shared walls is ideal.
Frannie plays well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion, though it’s not required.
She’s been exposed to cats and does well with children ages 4 and up. Her new home will need a 48” crate and an understanding of herding breeds and their unique needs.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
