Meef is a young cattle dog mix who is back with us after being adopted as a puppy and later returned due to personal struggles in her previous home. None of this is Meef’s fault. She is still very much a happy, eager, young dog who is ready for a fresh start with the right family.
Meef is social and friendly. She does well with other dogs, is good with kids, and has lived successfully with cats. She enjoys being around people and wants to be involved in whatever is going on around her.
As a young cattle dog mix, Meef is energetic, smart, and enthusiastic. She will need continued training and structure. She does get excited and can jump when greeting people, and she will need consistency and patience to finish solid potty training habits. An adopter who understands active breeds and is willing to put time into training will help Meef truly shine.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
