My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Buckshot, better known as Bucky! At 57 lbs, this big-hearted boy is bursting with energy and personality. If youre looking for a dog who can make you laugh, keep you moving, and snuggle up after a long day, Bucky might just be your perfect match.

Bucky lives for fun! His favorite game in the world? A rowdy round of tug-of-war. He also loves rough-and-tumble playdates with other dogsthough he can be a little picky, so his ideal canine buddies are those who can match his big, playful energy.

This goofy guy is still polishing his manners. Hes working hard on house training and leash walking, and thanks to being super food-motivated, hes learning more every day. With patience, consistency, and love, Bucky is sure to keep improving.

Buckys forever home will be one that understands his youthful spirit and gives him the space he needs to run, zoom, and just be Bucky. In return, hell offer his loyalty, his goofy charm, and his endless affection.

If youve got a big yard, a love of playtime, and a heart ready to welcome a dog who will be your most devoted companion, Bucky is waiting for you, but he says NO-NO to cats!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

Go meet their pets

Most of our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
