My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟 Meet Critter — The Happy‑Go‑Lucky Sidekick You’ve Been Waiting For! 🌟
Critter is the definition of a joyful, easygoing companion. With his smooth coat and that adorable wavy patch down his back, he’s as unique on the outside as he is on the inside. He’s a dog who wants to be with you — walking right at your side, checking in, and soaking up every bit of attention you offer.

💙 Personality & Temperament
A true happy‑go‑lucky boy who loves life and loves people

Paw‑fect leash walker — stays right by your side without pulling

Laid‑back, affectionate, and eager to please

Kennel/crate trained

Not a fence jumper and not a digger — he’s not looking for trouble

🐶 Dog & Animal Preferences
Loves most female dogs

Does well with submissive male dogs

He finds cats and chickens to be a little too interesting

He benefits from structure and redirection

🌊 Activities & Play
Water lover — pools, sprinklers, hose time, he’s all in

Enjoys exploring, hanging out, and being part of whatever you’re doing

Needs continued work on not jumping up on people when he’s excited, but he’s smart and responsive

🍖 Training Notes
Very treat‑motivated

Can be pushy for snacks, so he’s learning to sit first

Picks up routines quickly and thrives with consistency

💛 Why You’ll Love Him
Critter is the kind of dog who makes every day brighter. He’s social, sweet, and wonderfully uncomplicated. Whether he’s splashing in the water, strolling politely beside you, or relaxing at your feet, he brings warmth and joy everywhere he goes.

Additional adoption info

We endeavor to find the best home for each pet in our care. We do home visits on every pet, even if it can only be a virtual visit with pictures and videos from the potential adopter. Most of the time we adopt to people who live close enough for a personal home visit.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not have a facility; so meet and greets with potential adopters, pets and current pets are done on an appointment bases; sometimes at the potential adopter's home, or in a neutral location.
