My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Handsome Hanky! 🐾
Hanky arrived at the shelter skin and bones, but with love, good food, and kindness, he’s blossomed into the happiest, sweetest boy around. ❤️
His foster can’t say enough good things about him: Hanky loves everyone and everything! He’s joyful, affectionate, and always ready to be part of the fun. (We’re not sure about cats yet.)
He’s a perfect medium-sized guy at around 60 pounds, freshly groomed and all dressed up for the holidays. Hanky is ready to bring warmth, laughter, and loyal companionship into his forever home. 🎄✨
If this lovable goofball sounds like your new best friend, please submit an adoption application at weatherfordwags.org.
Let’s get Hanky home! 🏡💙

Additional adoption info

We endeavor to find the best home for each pet in our care. We do home visits on every pet, even if it can only be a virtual visit with pictures and videos from the potential adopter. Most of the time we adopt to people who live close enough for a personal home visit.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not have a facility; so meet and greets with potential adopters, pets and current pets are done on an appointment bases; sometimes at the potential adopter's home, or in a neutral location.
