Meet Larry, a sweet and friendly boy with a heart full of love! Larry is an eager-to-please boy who is highly motivated by treats—so much so that he’s always excited to earn them. He`s already a pro at sitting on command, and he’ll do anything for a tasty reward. He also seems to already be potty trained. He’s a happy, medium-energy dog who enjoys walks, and he does well on a leash. He’s easy to leash up and loves going out for his daily adventures. He`s done great around other dogs in shelter playgroups. Larry is super affectionate and loves getting pets and giving sweet kisses. He’s also a quick learner and, after just a few tosses of a squeaky toy, he started playing with it on his own. He’s a good balance of independent and social—enjoying some time to entertain himself but also happily sharing your company.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
