My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joy is approx a 3 year old 8lb chi mix. True to her name, Joy brings immense happiness and love to those around her. She loves to cuddle under the covers in bed and enjoys sleeping with her head on her foster mom’s chest. Joy absolutely loves walks and is
always excited for daily outings. She also enjoys car rides especially when the windows
are down and she can smell and look outside. Joy is very protective of her space and her human. She would do best as the only dog in the household as she can be aggressive towards other dogs. Joy is fully potty trained and has excellent house manners. She does not like being left in a crate for extended periods and may have accidents in the crate due to anxiety. She prefers to be free and will often lay in a crate by choice. Joy is good with children as long as she is given time to adjust to strangers in her home. Joy is Heartworm positive and currently going through the slow kill method treatment. No big dogs, small children, or swimming pool. No doggy door if you have a swimming pool.

Adoption fee is: $350.00
She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and had a dental

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
