My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thomas – a lovable kitten with a heart of gold and a sweet story of growth.
Once the food-hoarding enforcer of his litter, Thomas has blossomed into a mellow, confident little gentleman. He now shows up fashionably late to dinner, knowing the chicken treats aren’t going anywhere—and that he’s safe. He loves exploring, sunbathing in windows, and cuddling with his sister Hermione.
When relaxed, Thomas welcomes belly rubs. His purr is a deep, rumbly vibration of pure joy and healing energy. At night, he often curls up near your head, gently placing a paw on your shoulder to feel close and connected.
Curious and playful, Thomas is fully engaged with the world around him—especially if a wand toy or a faucet is involved. He goes all in during playtime, transforming into a full-on furnado. And when he’s puzzling over the mystery of running water, he channels Rodin's The Thinker, trying to “catch” it with his paws—or his head. In his mind, he’s just about to solve the mystery of the universe.
If you’re looking for a kitten with a grounded but vibrant presence, a love for interactive fun (and water!), and the ability to turn any space into a home, Thomas is your guy.
A quick heads-up: Like all kittens, Thomas needs companionship. If left alone for long stretches, he may get bored and start “redecorating.” He’s happiest with a bonded sibling—double the love, half the mischief!
Bonded Siblings:

Hermione – KRLA-A-8872
Wallace – KRLA-A-8868

Additional adoption info

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
