My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lewis

Lewis is the definition of “play hard, love harder.” This handsome Lab mix has a big personality, a big heart, and a whole lot of enthusiasm for life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be your shadow, your cheerleader, and your cuddle buddy, Lewis might just be your guy.

Lewis would thrive in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can really stretch his legs. He’s strong on leash and gets excited by fast-moving things like cats and cars, so having space to safely run and play is important for him. His absolute favorite pastime? Chasing and pouncing on his beloved Jolly Ball until he’s happily worn out.

Lewis has been at the shelter for nearly a year now, and it’s hard to understand why. His distinguished grey muzzle may make him look older, but don’t let that fool you—he’s healthy, energetic, and still full of playful spark. What he really needs is someone willing to look past the grey and see the devoted, joyful companion underneath.

Imagine warm afternoons in the yard, Lewis happily tossing his Jolly Ball around, followed by quiet evenings with him curled up beside you, completely content just to be near his person. After so long in the shelter, Lewis deserves a soft place to land and a family to call his own.
