Onyx's adoption donation is $475 and she is being fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and on prevention, as well as flea prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning. Onyx requires a securely fenced yard and a companion dog of similar size and energy.
Onyx came into rescue after being release from a puppy mill breeder. This mama has been through a lot in her short five years, however with her newfound freedom she is becoming a fun, playful very sweet girl. She does great on car rides, loves to play with toys and cuddling on the couch with her human. She is still learning that great things come from humans and is starting to accept treats from humans. She does well with walking on a leash but does get a little skittish with certain movements & sounds so an experienced dog owner is a must. She does well with house training if kept on a schedule. Oynx will need a companion dog of similar size and energy to continue learning how to be a “normal” dog. She will also need a secure, physically fenced yard. Onyx loves to follow other dogs around and is slowly starting to play with them. Onyx's perfect home would be with a family that can provide patience, daily exercise, and plenty of love and toys!
