My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS ADOPTION FEE SPECIAL: My adoption fee is only $50 during the month of December! Ray Ray is a charming, sweet, low maintenance Pittie mix who is looking for his forever home! This handsome boy is the perfect blend of snuggle-bug and independent spirit, making him an ideal companion for a variety of households. Ray Ray absolutely adores his humans and will happily snuggle up for some quality cuddle time. But don't let his affectionate nature fool you he's also perfectly content to relax quietly in another room, whether he's napping peacefully or simply enjoying the view from a window. He also enjoys lounging outside in the sunshine. One of his many virtues? He's a quiet companion who doesn't bark much, making him a great fit for peaceful homes. Ray Ray is a social butterfly! He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and seems completely unfazed by cats. New faces don't bother him either; he's friendly with strangers and approaches new interactions with a calm demeanor. Taking him for walks is a breeze he's fantastic on a leash and enjoys strolling alongside his canine pals. Like many of us, Ray Ray has a couple of things he's not too keen on: rain and the vacuum cleaner. But these minor quirks are easily managed and simply add to his unique charm! Ray Ray is housebroken, crate trained, knows basic commands and is food motivated. He happily goes into his crate at night and sleeps through the night like a dream. He weighs 38 pounds but- because hes part Chihuahua (we suspect)- he seems a lot smaller. Ray Ray is ready to bring joy, companionship, and endless snuggles to his new family. Could that be you? Ray Ray has completed his vet care (neuter, vaccines, microchip) and can't wait to meet you! If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP! A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
