My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hola humans! My name is Ellie and here's some information on me:

PHYSICAL INFO:

  • Breed: Mini Labrador mix

  • Age: 2 years 8 months approx.

  • Gender: Female

  • Weight: 30.86lbs (14 kg)

  • Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico

RESCUE STORY - I was found very tired and malnourished, living in a house with my mom and 3 sisters and 20 other cats. We were found surviving tough conditions in an overcrowded space with little care or food. We thank our lucky stars as we were rescued and given the chance at a new life, my sisters have all been adopted and I am the last of my litter to be adopted but I have high hopes that I will soon be matched with a loving family!

TEMPERAMENT - They say I am an amazing and smart girl, very loving and sociable with dogs and people. I have lived in a kennel with other dogs since I was a baby but sometimes I am allowed in the house where I am very respectful of the rules that I am told! I get along with many types of dogs as I play with them a lot during the day and I especially love puppies and playing with people too. I have been told I am the happiest dog as I have so much love to give and am a sweet and funny girl!

ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate

GETS ALONG WITH:

  • Kids – Yes! You can see more here

  • Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggies! You can watch me play tag with my friends here.

  • Cats – Unknown

  • PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.

TRAINING:

  • Leash skills – My rescuer says I am okay with this, however I may need some additional patience and training.

  • House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.

  • Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.

  • Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.

Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.

HEALTH NOTES:

  • I am spayed and vaccinated.

  • NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.

ADOPTION FEE:

  • My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.

WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
