Their adoption process

We always try to be available for our adopters and help them as much as possible. We will be offering training tips, meet up groups and other helpful resources to keep the lines of communication open ensuring a successful placement.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GOLA/Dog
  2. Interview
We ask questions about their lifestyle, home and what they are looking for in a new family member.
  3. Approve Application
We try to interview, check references and approve applications within 24-48 hours of submission.
  4. Meet the Pet
This takes place in the foster home where the dog is most comfortable.
  5. Home Check
If the applicant wishes to pursue the adoption, the home check is next to make sure the home is safe for the new pet.
  6. Sign Adoption Contract
We discuss and the contract in depth, so the adopter knows what their responsibilities are as a new pet parent, our rescue role.
  7. Take the Pet Home
Yay! A new family has been made! An adoption fee is then collected when the dog goes to their new home.

Go meet their pets

We are a very small foster based rescue. At this time animals can be met at their foster home with an approved application or a planned event.

More about this rescue

Go Fetch LA a dedicated community of dog lovers working to keep dogs out of overcrowded shelters.

During the pandemic, many Americans found comfort in bringing home new four-legged companions. Now, as COVID-19 restrictions have loosened and new pet parents return to work and their normal routines, shelters are seeing a high number of pets being surrendered.

Go Fetch LA increases awareness of rescue dogs being wonderful pets by hosting community events and helping dogs (and their families) in need. We offer help with food, training, exercise and boarding options to help keep dogs in their homes and a very small foster based rescue program to help reduce the euthanization rate.
