Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Eden! Eden is a 7.5-year-old, 25-pound sweetheart who greets the world with a wagging tail and a love for people. She is incredibly gentle with kids—whether it’s a 5-year-old or a household full of little ones, Eden’s calm, affectionate nature wins them over every time. She’s very people-oriented and enjoys meeting new friends, always happy to share attention and affection.
While Eden is confident around people, she’s a bit more reserved with other dogs. On walks, she may show little interest in them or prefer to focus on chasing pigeons and exploring her surroundings. She can be a little territorial around her food or treats, particularly with larger dogs, but this is limited to her personal space and never directed toward people. With time, patience, and proper introductions, she could likely feel more comfortable around other dogs—especially smaller ones.
Eden is easygoing at home. She’s fully housebroken, enjoys good walks to burn off energy, and even loves joining her foster on jogs—she keeps a steady pace and makes a great fair-weather running partner for anyone who likes to get outside. After activity, she’s all about curling up under a blanket for cozy snuggles. She can experience a touch of separation anxiety if left alone, but she doesn’t bark, cry, or become destructive. Eden will also give a polite alert bark when someone’s at the door.
She’d do well in a family setting—whether with children, a retired couple, or anyone ready to give her attention and love. Eden would thrive in a home where she can be pampered, enjoy a yard to explore, and settle into a predictable routine full of walks, playtime, snuggles, and maybe even the occasional jog with her new best friend.
Thanks to a generous donation from her foster family, Eden’s adoption fee is partially sponsored—her new family can take her home for $200.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
