Looking for a dog that will keep you laughing and active? Meet Muni, a spirited dog with a personality as big as her smile — literally! Thanks to a rare gene, this mama flashes a charming grin whenever she’s excited, and trust us, it’s impossible not to smile back. She also does the cutest happy howls when she sees someone she knows.
Muni is a bundle of energy who loves zooming around while pulling her foster parent on a longboard, then flopping into the grass for some well-earned roll breaks. She’s also a gentle treat-taker and a certified favorite among Starbuck’s workers!
Muni is crate trained, potty trained, and is still working on her basic obedience. While she’s slightly reactive towards other animals, it’s really easy to get her attention back. City noises? No problem! Muni’s a former city dog, so hustle and bustle don’t phase her one bit.
Muni only gets along with older kids as she has some difficulty with the unpredictability of the younger ones. She doesn’t like cats and doesn’t like strange dogs in her personal space. It is possible for her to live with another dog with a proper introduction as she has made a few dog friends in the past!
If you’re looking for an adventure buddy with a heart of gold and a one-of-a-kind smile, Muni is your girl!

More about this rescue
Satchel's Last Resort is a no-kill animal shelter/sanctuary whose mission is to Rescue, Rehab and Rehome dogs and cats with nowhere else to go because of breed, behavior or medical issues.
Each resident that comes to Satchel’s has its own unique and personal history. We get to know each one individually – favorite toy, favorite game, favorite foods. The dogs are housed in an airy shelter with spacious kennels, take three or four romps in the playard or walks per day, and even take car rides to let their fur flap in the wind. Cats are housed in two open cat room settings and receive social interaction with staff and volunteers every day. Most important to us -- we keep our dogs and cats safe from other residents and from humans who may want to harm them.
Trainers work with the dogs a few times a week to teach them that they can trust humans and other animals. Staff and volunteers work with our cats to keep them socialized or help them learn to trust again. We actively seek forever homes tailored to the needs of every individual pet so that they can live the rest of their lives among a family of their own.
At Satchel’s Last Resort, we believe that by harnessing the unconditional love that the dogs and cats in our sanctuary put forth everyday, the world becomes a brighter place for animals and people. Each and everyday we try to give a little of their love back – back to the pets and back to our community.
