Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I`m Lennox, aka Lenny or Leonard! I recently turned 1 year old and am a Border Collie/Lab mixed boy weighing 50 pounds. I am insanely smart, full of energy, and have graduated from two obedience classes. I know lots of tricks and love to learn! I get along great with other dogs, especially if they love to run and wrestle. I don’t mind cats, I mostly ignore them or run away when they hiss at me. I am house and crate trained and am used to sleeping in my crate with my comfort blankie and a few toys. I don’t dare tear them up, but I do like to sneak in more toys when no one is looking. I love to ride in the car and go for hikes! I walk well on a leash with my trusty martingale collar and a snug fitting harness. Once I get settled into a new place I can also be trusted off leash. I am dedicated to my human and am always glued to their hip. I would do best in an active home with no young kids or no kids at all. While I love people, I really seem to thrive with all the attention on me; especially while I am still adjusting to the change of a new place. I will need a family who can provide a stable routine and who is willing to learn and grow with me. If you`re looking for a buddy to keep you active and entertained, I`m your guy. I promise there will never be a dull day again with me around!
Lenny has been neutered, microchipped, and kept current on vaccines and monthly preventatives. For the first steps of adoption submit an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application For questions you can email the foster home at julianshumate@gmail.com.
