My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fitzwilliam, a handsome and incredibly loyal companion who is ready to find his "person." Whether you call him Fitz or Fitzy, he is a dog who truly listens; he responds beautifully to his name, soft whistles, and kiss sounds. While he might take a quiet 24 hours to assess a new environment, once that bond is formed, it is unbreakable. He is a "velcro dog" in the best way, often waiting for his favorite humans to sit down and relax before he finally settles into his own bed for the night.

Fitzwilliam is a brilliant, observant boy with a problem-solving mind that will constantly impress you. He has even figured out how to operate lever-style door handles and pocket doors! This intelligence makes him a joy to engage with; he already knows "sit" and is eager to learn more. When he’s feeling playful, he showcases a silly side with joyful zoomies or "boxer-style" wrestling moves on the floor. Despite his athletic side, he is a gentleman at heart who is remarkably gentle with children, often approaching quietly for a sniff and a polite pat.

A true homebody, Fitz loves the finer things in life—specifically cozy dog beds with high sides or cushioned bolsters. He is a relaxed presence in the house and is very content to snooze the day away once he’s had his exercise. He is also a star in his crate; once he settles in with a treat-filled Kong, he is calm and quiet, making him an easy roommate.

His loyalty is perhaps his most impressive trait. In busy situations, he looks to his owners for guidance and stays by their side rather than wandering off. He’s the perfect partner for someone who enjoys a nice walk to the woods and appreciates a dog who truly values the connection they share. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and devoted friend to share your home with, Fitzwilliam is waiting to meet you.
