This 2-year-old sweetheart is still pretty scared in the shelter, but he’s starting to come out of his shell—and once he does, you can see just how special he is. He’s a great loose-leash walker, checks in often with his handler, and is already working on learning basic commands. He’d absolutely thrive in a home where he can keep learning and building confidence.
When ACO brought him to us, it was so cold that his drool was literally frozen to his face like an icicle. 🥶 That’s the kind of start this boy had—and he deserves so much better than that.
Role Model is ready for a softer landing, a warmer life, and someone who’ll show him the world isn’t so scary.

CARE STL welcomes adopters to either come by the shelter or fill out an adoption application online to save some time at the shelter. The purpose of this application is to gather information about your home, pets, and general lifestyle to help our Match-Makers determine if the pet you wish to adopt is a good fit for both you and the pet.

We welcome people to come visit our shelter for adoption, as well as volunteer and enrichment opportunities with our animals! CARE STL has a way for everyone in our community to interact with shelter pets - even kids!
