Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Buddy – The Sweet Senior with a Spark! 🐾💛
Say hello to Buddy, a lovable senior pup who’s full of curiosity, playfulness, and personality. He might take a little time to warm up, but once he feels safe, his silly, joyful side shines through. Buddy loves to explore, splash in the water, and show off his adorable, one-of-a-kind walk — a little hop that makes him even more endearing.
This sweet guy would do best in a patient, calm home where he can take things at his own pace and settle in comfortably. Once he knows you’re a friend, he’ll reward you with goofy antics, gentle affection, and endless smiles.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll fill your days with quiet joy and playful moments, Buddy is ready to find his forever home. 💕

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.

More about this shelter
The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
