My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Foster Home Needed - Currently in Boarding**

Meet Jerri! This sweet girl was pulled from the shelter back in March after an urgent plea from one of their amazing volunteers. Jerri had been found as a stray and was not doing well in the shelter environment due to the stress and needed out STAT! She was also suffering from entropion eyes, which is an abnormality of the eyelids in which the eyelid rolls inward. The treatment is surgery and as soon as we could, she had her surgery done on both eyes and she is now fully healed and ready for her forever home!

Jerri is approximately two years old and is an American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix! She is a strong girl who is absolutely strikingly beautiful. But she's not all looks - she's also the sweetest girl you'll ever meet :) She can be slightly timid at first, but her confidence gets better every day and her favorite thing to do is be with her humans. She absolutely loves people of all ages and is a total Velcro dog! However, she is more selective with her dog friends - got along fantastically with an easy going male, but did not like a more high strung female. No kitties for this big gal. She is one who would thrive in as an only dog so she can just spend time with her people. She enjoys a walk or hanging out in the backyard (including sunning herself), but isn't very high energy. She is also a great car rider and does pretty well on a leash. She has done well with her housetraining and crate training as long as she's kept on a schedule. She is VERY food motivated :)

Jerri's adoption fee is $200 and she comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is also heartworm negative and has been on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Interested in meeting this special girl? Visit www. helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application and apply today!

If you are interested in fostering her, please complete a foster application through www.helpingpawsonline.com/foster-application . Helping Paws provides all food, prevention, and medical care. You provide the love until we find a forever home!

Go meet their pets

Helping Paws is a foster based rescue that does not have a facility to house our adoptables. We believe they are better off in a loving foster home while they wait for their forever family. If interested, please fill out an application, and we will set up a time to schedule a meet and greet for you and the animal.
