My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is a petite Shepherd Girl. She is about 1-2 yo, about 45-50 pounds and had been in foster with a family with several children and two smaller dogs. She recently changed fosters. Maggie is the sweetest dog. She is good on leash. She is calm, gentle and quiet. She might be shy at first but warms up with a wag and sitting on your lap. She will be your little shadow. Her foster has not really heard her bark much in her day-to-day activities. She is a medium to low energy level. She is spayed and utd on shots. She is dog friendly and loves her new foster brother but had a stressful experience with hyper dogs not liking her (not her fault. Properly introoduced and she does great!)). She had originally been pulled from a kill shelter, then lived a while awaiting rescue (who forgot her) with about 40 dogs and got along with everyone. She needs patient introductions and loves all attention. She is crate trained and would prefer to stick with her toys. She is an absolute joy and would make a great family dog or person’s companion. She really wants her person.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process requires upon inquiry by an adopter, an adopter's applying for a dog(s). Once the application is submitted we give the applicant the contact information for the adopter for them to meet the dogs in who they are interested. We ask they bring the family - including other pets - and spend time with the dog (s). We review the application and also suggest other dogs who maybe of interest.
Once the applicant has chosen to adopt, we conduct a home visit to make sure the home and the dog will have a great life!
