Jet is a Jack Russell Terrier that was found as a stray and never claimed. We think she was born in the summer of 2024. She is classic JRT - she needs to get to know you to trust you - then she is all yours, but it might take a bit of time! She doesn't seem to like the other dogs here at the shelter, so she might be best as an only dog. She runs like crazy and has energy to burn. She can jump quite high in spite of having fairly short legs. She is absolutely adorable and a favorite here at the shelter. She has personality in spades. Prior experience with JRTs is preferred. She also will probably not care very much for strangers visiting ;)
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.

If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
