My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This stunning 5-year-old Orange Belton English Setter is ready to find a family that understands him. He’s a big boy at about 70 lbs and while we know he is an English Setter, we can only speculate about his bloodlines because of his larger size. Augie is a smart, independent, treat-motivated boy who picks up on training quickly. But he’ll need an adopter with expertise and patience to help him build confidence, especially in new situations.

Here’s what makes Augie special:

Low prey drive – no lizard or squirrel-chasing chaos here!

Companions  – he is ok with the company of female dogs his size but honestly people are his favorite, and he doesn’t need another dog in his forever home.

Yard enthusiast – a good-sized, securely fenced yard (6’ fencing) is important for his playtime.

Timid but willing – he may start off a little nervous, but with time, he’ll blossom into a devoted companion. Augie is searching for a kind and experienced adopter who will guide him with love, consistency, and patience. Because of his size and enthusiasm for his people, he’s looking for a home without children or older folks who might be accidentally knocked about by his affectionate nature. Could that be you? Apply today and give this sweet boy the home he’s been waiting for!
