My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy was picked up by animal control while he was making the rounds at a school! He absolutely loved playing with and licking all the kids…even climbed into a school bus hoping to hitch a ride home with a child! He is the best natured, friendliest most adorable little heeler mix! He is a ladies man and just gushes over the ladies when they come around to pet him. Men, he likes you too!! He’s friendly with other friendly dogs well and would be a wonderful family dog!

More about this rescue

Hello! Thanks for checking us out. We are a 501-c3 non profit rescue and rehab service in Tucson, AZ

We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs from the streets of Mexico in cooperation with other animal rescue organizations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Our shelter in Hermosillo, Sonora, Vidas Con Causa, currently has over 150 dogs. There, we provide medical care and a loving place for them to heal before coming to the US, then we foster and work on finding the perfect fit for adoption. You can also visit the available dogs at the rescue in Mexico. Our rescue partners spend a lot of time getting to know the dogs and we know MOST of their
perks and quirks!

We help special needs dogs, the amputees, the pregnant Pitties, the MexiMutts, those from small independent shelters who don't get much notice, the cancer patients. We provide round-the-clock care until these dogs are ready for rehoming.
