Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Aquila – Our Sweet Senior Adventurer! 🐾
Don’t let the number fool you—10-year-old Aquila still has plenty of pep in her step and a heart full of adventure! This lovely lady is the total package: affectionate, well-mannered, and incredibly smart. It’s clear she’s had some training in her past, and she’s a joy to work with—eager, responsive, and full of personality.
Aquila may be considered a senior, but she’s not slowing down anytime soon. Whether it’s a long walk or a full-on hike, she’s always ready to hit the trail with a smile and a wagging tail. She’s in great shape and would make the perfect companion for someone who loves being active and outdoors.
She can be a bit pushy with other dogs and would benefit from some continued work on her social skills, so she’d likely do best as the only dog in the home—or with a savvy adopter who can help guide her interactions. But with people? She’s an absolute sweetheart who just wants to be your loyal sidekick.
We have learned that Aquila can open lever style door handles, however she doesn't seem intent on going anywhere afterwards.
If you're looking for a graceful, spunky gal who’s still got a whole lot of living (and loving!) left to do, come meet Aquila. She’s ready to be your hiking buddy, couch companion, and best friend.
