Hey there, I'm Scrabble, and if you're reading this, it means I'm still searching for my forever home – a fact I'm trying not to take personally! But hey, while I'm waiting, let me tell you a little bit about myself, and maybe even inspire you to take me out on a Daycation through CARE!
Recently, I went on a Daycation to Pride STL with a couple of awesome people, and I have to say, I was a superstar! I'm told I gave immediate full-body wiggles to a new friend I met, which just goes to show how much love I have to give. We even stopped at a store, where I discovered I'm not the biggest fan of moving wheels like bikes or scooters. But good news: I'm super easily redirected, and I got much better as the day went on! So, with a little decompression in a new home, I bet I'll be cruising alongside you in no time.
At Pride, I was on my best behavior. Can you believe I actually wanted to stay in line at one point? I got so much attention because, let's be real, I'm a looker! But even with all the compliments, I'm still patiently waiting for my family.
So, what else should you know about me? Well, I'm a cuddly boy who loves to snuggle up. I'm working on being fully potty trained, but I'm already a pro at my crate – it's my cozy den! On walks, I can get a little excited and tug, but I'm diligently practicing my "sit" and "paw" commands, and I'm super motivated by treats (hint, hint!).
I'm friendly with kids and other dogs (with slow introductions, of course, as I can be a bit dominant at first). I do have a little bit of reactivity with adult males, but with patience and understanding, I'm confident I can overcome this. The folks at the shelter are amazing and can tell you all about CARE's Daycation program – it's free, they provide everything you need, and it's a fantastic way for us to get to know each other outside of the shelter.
So, what do you say? Ready to meet your new best friend? Come on down to CARE and ask for Scrabble – I promise you won't regret it!
