My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our adoption process can be found on our website here: www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process

Estimated birth date: 02/25/2022

Personality: Curious, Enjoys being held, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Funny, Hesitant, Inquisitive, Lazy, Nervous, Playful, Readily allows you to pick it up, Smart, Sweet, Somewhat shy, Abe likes to take his time getting to know everyone.

Favorite treats: Oxbow real prey rewards, cooked chicken.

Current Diet: 50/50 Mix Wysong Epigen 90 Digestive Support Dry Ferret Food & Marshall Premium Ferret Food.

NOTE: We are currently working on finding a Ferret appropriate diet Abe & Mary will eat.

Favorite toys and activities: Fleece to dig, fluffy blankets to hide and cuddle in, crinkle tunnels.

Potty trained: They are mostly litter box trained with some accidents.

This animal’s daily routine: Flexible. At around 5pm, they get out time and Abe loves hanging out on my shoulders or on my lap while I do the animal chores or other tasks.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Abraham and Mary are a bonded duo and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cats, curious but nervous.

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Yes, Abe is rather calm around our 7 year old. He's always curious about what he's up to.

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: None

Other notes: Abe was surrendered to the Animal Humane Society as their previous owners couldn't care for them any longer. Once there, shelter life proved to be stressful for Abe. He reportedly bit a staff member trying to clean his cage.
Since coming into rescue, we've learned he's shy and timid. He takes a while to get to know you BUT has never once tried biting. He's not an aggressive or mean guy, I think he just was very stressed.
Abe loves to try digging up fleece blankets. He also loves playing with Mary and climbing on foster mom.

Abraham Stinkin & Mary Todd Stinkin were transferred to MNPPR due to biting.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Eagan PetSmart - 1297 Promenade Pl, Eagan, MN 55121 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Abraham & Mary Todd have a combined adoption fee of $205.

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.

Abraham's care while in rescue has not yet been sponsored. If you would like to donate to provide veterinary care, food, bedding, and enrichment for Abraham or other pocket pets in the care of MNPPR, please visit https://www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/sponsor-a-pocket-pet for more information.

Ferrets within MNPPR are up to date on Rabies & Distemper Vaccinations.
