Their adoption process
Min Pins & More Rescue, Inc. requires potential adopters to submit an application. The application is reviewed by the committee and references are checked and a phone interview is completed. If all parties are still in agreement, a home visit is arranged and the house is checked for safety issues and the yard/fence is inspected, if applicable. If all is still moving forward, a meeting with the dog and entire family is arranged. Upon adoption a contract will be signed, and the adoption fee is paid. Our fees range from $100-350, depending on the age and health of the dog.
Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Note that all pets must be up-to-date on vaccines, on heartworm prevention, and spayed or neutered when applying.
- Interview
- A phone interview will be conduedted by a volunteer. This will also include calling a vet and 2 (two) nonrelated references.
- Home Check
- An in-person home visit will be done by one of our volunteers or by a volunteer from a trusted rescue if out of our range.
- Meet the Pet
- If approved to adopt, a meet and greet will be set up with the dog you are interested in as well as your family and other pets.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay the adoption fee, and take your pet home. We always start with a two week trial adoption period if all goes well.
