This handsome boy is a rescued Pitbull mix from PG County, Maryland. Louie is approximately 2 years old and still shows off his puppy energy! He's a sweet and affectionate dog who loves people and enjoys cuddling on the couch.
Louie is a quick learner and knows his basic commands like sit, down, place, and stay. His potty training is exceptional, and he hasn't had any accidents in his foster home. While crate trained, Louie prefers the company of his humans and will let you know he'd rather be by your side.
Louie can be a bit stubborn and has a strong chewing instinct. He'll put your toughest chew toys to the test, so be prepared for some playful destruction!
Is Louie the right fit for you?
--You're active: Louie needs an active owner who can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
--You're patient: Louie is still learning and may need some extra training and guidance.
--You have a sense of humor: Louie's playful antics will keep you entertained, but they might also test your patience at times.
He’s well on his way to being an absolutely wonderful dog for an owner or family that is willing to continue working with him. Please reach out if you think Louie would be a happy addition to your home!

Furever Home Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs in crisis,
with a special focus on rescuing pit-type breeds from a shelter with breed-specific legislation
(BSL) in place. These dogs are often discriminated against due to misconceptions and legal
restrictions. Our mission is to give these at-risk dogs a second chance at life by providing
shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation before placing them in loving, permanent homes.
Through public education, advocacy, and community engagement, Furever Home Animal
Rescue aims to change public perception of pit-type breeds and work towards the repeal of
BSL in our target areas.
Furever Home Animal Rescue is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in
crisis, with a particular focus on pit-type breeds impacted by breed-specific legislation. We
believe every dog deserves a chance to live a life free from discrimination and neglect. Our
mission is to rescue these dogs, provide them with the care they need, and find them loving
homes, while also advocating for the rights of all dogs, educating the public, and fostering a
community of responsible pet ownership.
