Meet Dom!
Dom is a 3.5-year-old, 59-lb sweetheart with the perfect balance of low–medium energy. Affectionate, athletic, and incredibly loyal, Dom’s happiest place is right by his person’s side. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready for his forever home.
Dom absolutely adores people of all ages—kids, adults, and seniors alike. He prefers to be the only dog in the home and can be leash reactive, but he walks beautifully with a calm, confident handler who gives him the space he needs around other dogs. He doesn’t pull, listens well, and redirects with ease.
In the home, Dom is truly a dream. He’s fully house trained, gentle, respectful, and completely trustworthy when left alone—no crate needed. He’s never destructive and is perfectly content snoozing on the couch until his person returns. He knows his commands, is food-motivated, and strikes a perfect balance of independent and snuggly. Whether curled up by your side or relaxing in his own bed, he’s easygoing and well-mannered.
Dom loves car rides, hikes, long walks, and any outdoor adventure, but he’s just as happy enjoying a quiet evening, watching TV, or lounging at home. He’s the ideal mix of sweetness and smarts—ready to bring joy, companionship, and unwavering loyalty to a family who appreciates a truly good dog.
Dom is one of a kind. He just needs someone to love—and he’ll give that love back tenfold.

Furever Home Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs in crisis,
with a special focus on rescuing pit-type breeds from a shelter with breed-specific legislation
(BSL) in place. These dogs are often discriminated against due to misconceptions and legal
restrictions. Our mission is to give these at-risk dogs a second chance at life by providing
shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation before placing them in loving, permanent homes.
Through public education, advocacy, and community engagement, Furever Home Animal
Rescue aims to change public perception of pit-type breeds and work towards the repeal of
BSL in our target areas.
Furever Home Animal Rescue is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in
crisis, with a particular focus on pit-type breeds impacted by breed-specific legislation. We
believe every dog deserves a chance to live a life free from discrimination and neglect. Our
mission is to rescue these dogs, provide them with the care they need, and find them loving
homes, while also advocating for the rights of all dogs, educating the public, and fostering a
community of responsible pet ownership.
