Meet Dipa! She's a super mutt mixed with some husky, malamute, GSD, and more, but one thing's for sure: she's 100% a pretty girl! At 6 years old and about 50 pounds, she's a lovely size and in her prime with years of adventures ahead of her. Dipa is a medium energy dog who loves playing tug and keep-away with her toys, romping around in the backyard with her doggie friends, and especially appreciates hikes and walks in quiet outdoor places! She's also equally content cuddling up on the couch to watch a movie or laying around the house on a rainy day soaking up all the belly scratches she can get. Couch potato & adventure buddy: the best of both worlds!
One of our favorite qualities about Dipa is her loyalty to her people, but with that comes a little skepticism of new people inside her home. It takes some time to get into her "inner circle," but once you're in OH BOY does she love you to pieces!!! She's very eager to please and is extremely trainable, so she knows quite a few commands and will do anything for a treat. Dipa has such a goofy personality and one of the best smiles you'll ever see with eyes that make your heart melt. She LOVES to talk and tell you all about her day (she very much got the husky "Awooos") and is happy to hold a full conversation with you, and occasionally talk back when she has a strong opinion about something... haha.
Dipa's ideal home would be quiet without many visitors or young children (under 16), although she does great in her kennel if you're having a large function from time to time! She would love a large yard or home in the country where she can sunbathe, walk around with you to do chores or garden, and maybe do some fun training games to keep her in shape! She does currently live with a cat without issue, besides occasionally wanting to play with her, and has lived with LOTS of dogs over the years. Dipa does have some doggie friends, but can be particular with who her playmates are and is neutral the majority of the time (little dogs tend to be her favorite!). She needs experienced dog owners who can be patient while they gain her trust, but trust us it's SO WORTH THE EFFORT!
She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vetting. For more information about her, reach out to her foster Britt at brittanyjas13@gmail.com or apply to adopt at www.arcbcr.org

Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue, Inc., (ARCBCR) is a dream come true for a passionate group of Border Collie lovers who had the good fortune of meeting, and befriending each other through past rescue work.
The purpose of ARCBCR is to rescue Border Collies and Border Collie mixes from situations that are neglectful, abusive, and endangering. We take in dogs from shelters, dogs found as strays, and dogs that can no longer be kept by their current families.
We provide the following for each and every one of our dogs: a loving and caring foster home, all necessary veterinarian care, including spay or neuter, and any rehabilitation a dog might need enabling it to acclimate into their forever, loving home.
ARCBCR is a small all volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) group, so if you would like to make a donation to help us care for the dogs, your gift is tax deductible.
