My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Meg!

Breed: Greyhound mix

Age: 1.5 years

Weight: 40-45 lbs

Size: Medium

Gender: Female

Energy Level: Medium-High (runs on zoomies and snuggles)

Bonded Pair: Must be adopted with her brother and full time sidekick, Peter.

Meg is a vibrant and affectionate young pup who’s been through a lot in her short life. She and her brother, Peter, were born in an unplanned litter in rural Ohio. While their siblings found homes, Meg and Peter weren’t so lucky. They ended up in a shelter at just a few months old and stayed there until January 2025. Despite growing up in a shelter, Meg’s sweet and joyful personality has always shone through.

Meg has been Peter's ride or die since day one. Through shelter life, medical recovery, and every sniff filled backyard adventure, these two have stuck together. When Peter had a broken leg, Meg stepped into her role as a nurse, therapist and snack delivery service. Their bond is something truly special. They’ve supported each other through everything, and now it’s time for them to find a home that will love them both.

Meg’s Personality:

Meg is a total social butterfly! She loves people and adores other dogs. She’s expressive, spunky, affectionate, and always up for an adventure. After a fun day, she’s perfectly content to crash on the couch or snuggle in a comfy dog bed for some belly rubs and head scratches. Meg also enjoys car rides and doggy daycare, it’s all just another exciting adventure for her!

Dog-Friendly: Yes. Meg loves other dogs!

Cat-Friendly: She may be curious and playful, but doesn’t seem likely to harm a cat.

Kid-Friendly: Kids 10+ would be best. Meg is gentle and friendly with kids of all ages, but Peter is on the scared/timid side with younger kids. He hasn't quite figured them out and the chaos that accompanies small children can be a little stressful for him. Peter and Meg also have quite a bit of energy and can be jumpy when exicted. For these reasons we belive older kids would be best.

Apartment-Friendly: No

Fence Requirement: A fenced yard is required.

Crate Trained: Yes

Housebroken: Yes

Ideal Home:

Meg and Peter are still learning about the comforts of home life and are thoroughly enjoying every minute. Their ideal family will include them in daily activities and give them lots of love and affection. While they’re happiest as a pair, they don’t panic when separated, and it’s important their future family helps them maintain some independence.

Meg Loves:

  • Playing with other dogs

  • Zoomies in the backyard

  • Toys and treats

  • Being silly and making you laugh

  • Snuggling after playtime

  • Going for walks

Dislikes:

There isn't much that Meg doesn't like!

Meg and Peter’s adoption fee as a pair is $500. Fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, flea/heartworm prevention, and heartworm testing (negative if over 6 months).
