My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sweet Maggie
Maggie is a beautiful Cattle dog, Akita, German Shepherd, Collie mix searching for a loving family to call her own. (We did her DNA test)

Personality and Needs
Maggie will benefit from friendly socialization and training to help her grow in confidence. She may also enjoy having a confident dog companion who can support her as she learns and adjusts to her new life. Because of high prey drive, dogs smaller than Maggie are not recommended.

Training and Behavior
Recently, Maggie completed several weeks of obedience training, where she learned how to sit, heel, and recall on lead. She is comfortable in a crate and will seek out her crate when she wants some quiet time alone. Although rather shy, a family with patience who can give her the time and space to feel at ease in her new environment will help her adjust.

Likes and Ideal Home
Maggie loves playing in water, going for long walks, and spending time with other dogs her size or larger. She would thrive in a home with a confident dog to socialize with, which would help her build her own confidence. With the right family and environment, Maggie is sure to shine and become a cherished member of the household.

More about this rescue

Indigos Rescue Ranch and Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide care, shelter, fostering opportunities and adoptive homes for Jackson County’s homeless dogs until such time as we can find them a suitable “forever home.” Regardless of breed, size or age, we accept dogs into our shelter and ensure they have safe and happy lives while we seek suitable homes for them. We believe so strongly in our mission, that where hard to place dogs are concerned (e.g., older, disabled or special needs dogs), Indigo’s becomes their forever home so they may live out their lives with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
