Can you imagine spending your entire life in rescue?
That’s Chance’s reality. Found at just 6 weeks old, the sole survivor of a parvo-stricken litter dumped behind a daycare, Chance beat the odds—but lost his chance at a normal puppyhood. His early weeks were spent in hospitals and quarantine, missing critical socialization. While he learned to trust his rescuers, he stayed fearful of strangers, and time passed him by.

But something amazing happened. Chance blossomed.
With the help of his best friend, Chula, he learned how to walk on leash, explore, play, and even let new people near. He adores running beside a golf cart, exploring the yard, and spending sunny days playing with toys and Chula in the rescue’s exercise area.

Chance is housetrained (never soils his kennel), playful, affectionate once he feels safe, and so deserving of a real home after a decade of waiting.

His Ideal Home:

  • Quiet, adult-only home (no small children, cats, or small dogs)

  • Fenced yard to play and explore

  • A calm, confident companion dog—Chula would be perfect!

  • Patient adopter willing to give him time and love

Chula is also older and well-behaved in a home setting, making them an incredible pair. While we know it's rare to adopt two seniors, we’re offering a reduced adoption fee if you take them both—$300 total. They’ve spent a lifetime together, and their bond is beautiful.

✨ Chance has waited 10 years for someone to see past his shyness and into his heart. Could that someone be you?

Transport available to WA, OR, Midwest, and East Coast (excluding RI & MA)
Transport Fee: $225 if needed

Additional adoption info

Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested

All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella and heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped.
Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200.
We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.
