Meet Jericho! 🐾
1-Year-Old | 30 lbs | Male | Mixed Breed

Jericho is a sweet, soulful boy with a heart as big as his puppy-dog eyes. Rescued from a home with 48 dogs, this little guy is learning what it means to be truly loved—and he’s thriving! While he may be a little shy at first, Jericho warms up quickly and is eager to bond. One warm bath was all it took to win him over, and now he melts for affection and attention.

He’s wonderful with dogs of all sizes and enjoys playing gentle games of fetch with his beloved tennis ball (which he will adorably push off the chair for you to retrieve and throw again!). He crates like a champ and has kept a clean kennel with regular yard time. On leash, Jericho is doing great—he sticks close and takes his cues from you as he builds confidence.

Jericho did meet some kids at the clinic and did ok. He rides well in the truck (though he needs a little help getting in for now), and he met a cat once without any issues—just a curious glance and then moved on.

He does show some food guarding, which isn't surprising given his background, but with patience and structure, this is something that can be managed and improved. More than anything, Jericho loves to be babied and doted on—he’s ready to be someone’s loyal companion and playmate.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
